Sherry Locke
ACSM Certified Personal Trainer
CPR/First Aid Certified
Specialties: Program
Design for General Conditioning & Weight Loss, Pre & Post-Natal
Fitness, Sport-Specific Training, Class Instruction and Nutritional
Guidance.
Experience: My fitness
career transitioned from dance instructor to aerobics instructor
to personal trainer. I’ve always enjoyed
teaching movement, I guess. When I look back, I remember
that my favorite part of teaching a dance class was the warm-up! It
took me a while to find my calling, but I thank God everyday that
I found it, and I love it. I’ve trained children, adults,
seniors and even a few people with disabilities (with the understanding
that their exercise session was just that and not intended to be
rehabilitation or therapy of any kind). I also spent a few
years as a Strength and Conditioning coach for a competitive gymnastic
team. During my years as an aerobics instructor, I specialized
in pregnancy fitness classes. These were regular exercise
classes with all of the modifications for expectant mothers. The
majority of people I work with, now, come to me looking for weight
loss or general conditioning.
I was originally certified by ACE (American
Council on Exercise) in 1994, and then obtained my ACSM (American
College of Sports Medicine) Personal Trainer Certification in 2008. I’ve
learned most of what I know by attending seminars and workshops,
studying for exams, consulting with physicians, physical therapists,
chiropractors, pharmacists and dietitians and researching client
limitations or specific training techniques. Learning from
a book is one thing, but knowing how to apply it is another. It
takes years of practice. I’ve learned so much over
the years, but I continue to learn from my clients, peers and my
circle of health professionals.
Personal: Married
to John, with one daughter, Sabrina. I enjoy running and walking
outdoors, camping in our RV, working out to my favorite music and “vegging” at
home with my family and pets. |

CPR/AED certified
M.Ed
Specialties: Individual Programs for General
Conditioning and Weight Loss, Senior Fitness, Boot Camp, Bosu and

Experience: Being
an avid "gym rat" for
many years, I decided to become an aerobics instructor in 1998. I
worked at Bally's for about 10 years. I became certified in
Personal Training in 2001, and began training clients at Jon Vecchio's
Studio in Mount Lebanon. After Vecchio's closed, I was very
lucky to find Sherry, and came to Locke's Fitness in 2007, where I
(happily!) now am. I train for Sherry, as well as having
my own training business, with some in-home clients, and I also
run a chair exercise class at Sunrise Assisted Living.
Personal: I
am married to Steve and have 3
children, all in their 20s! I enjoy running, weight lifting,
dancing, reading, playing cards with my family and watching the
antics of our four ferrets! |

Patricia (Trish) Imbrogno
American Council on Exercise (ACE) Personal Trainer
ACE Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant
Pilates Institute of America Mat Level I
YMCA Group Exercise Instructor
Silver Sneakers II: Cardio Circuit
Reebok Group Cycle
Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program
Specialties: Kickboxing (bag contact
and “tae bo” style),
Group Cycling, Mat Pilates Experience: For the first 13 years of my life, I was overweight. Nature changed
that at puberty and I became
the exact opposite. College
reversed what nature had done, and I watched my weight steadily
increase
until my peak of 185 pounds in 1998. I was often tired, had blemishes
and was unhappy with how I looked and felt. I changed my diet,
slowly began exercising, and rapidly saw positive changes. Not
until then
did I understand the importance of eating well and exercising.
I wish someone had taught me healthy habits and the importance
of
a healthy lifestyle. It is always my goal to make clients understand
that leading a healthy, active life is an attainable and sustainable
goal. I began certifications in 2002 and strive to expand my knowledge
on a regular basis.
Personal: I live in the South
Hills with my fiancé Todd and
our pets TC and Roxy. In addition to fitness, I am a professional
double bassist, freelancing in the Pittsburgh area. |
Doug
Morrissey
ACE
Certified Personal Trainer
CPR
certified
Experience:I
am a former chain smoking, binge drinking, impulse eater. I
know how tough it is to break bad habits, but I did it with a
renewed love for life and exercise. Life is short and you
should be willing and able to enjoy it every chance you get. I
discovered being in good shape gave me the energy and confidence
to do many other things like learn kick boxing and judo.
Personal:I
love all kinds of music and have played the guitar since I was
11. I love animals and going to zoos and anywhere wildlife
is. I enjoy living with my girlfriend and her wonderful daughter
who make everyday different and fun. I love the beach and
dream of moving there someday to lie in a hammock and do nothing
after I visit every continent. |

to maintaining my health enables me to do so and to speak from experience.
Personal: Exercise is not my life. It
is what I do to get the most out of my life. I enjoy kayaking,
